This is a hollow cone demolition charge. The charge can be used to attack vertical as well as horizontal targets. For the attack of horizontal targets, the three steel legs are screwed into the support sockets, and the charge is placed on the surface to be attacked. In the case of vertical targets such as concrete walls, two legs are screwed into the handle socket and the third into the support socket opposite to the handle. The two legs are placed on the ground while the third rests against the vertical target.
To obtain increased penetrative power, two or more charges can be nested together, the upper part the charge fitting into the cone of the second charge and secured. It is manufactured to Government of India, Ministry of Defence specification No. 1A-945 and drawing No. D2(L)955/GF/326.

In this charge, the penetration can be considerably increased by assembling or 'nesting' two or more charges together and firing them in tandem.
QUALITY :
The raw materials used for components are tested by independent Quality Assurance Wing. During manufacture stage, quality surveillance, both by producer and Army's representatives, are provided. The end store is tested statically for functioning by Army's representatives.
SAFETY :
As the detonator (means of ignition) are packed separately, the charge is safe during manufacture, storage & transit.
RELIABILITY :
Due to its sound design and careful manufacture, the store is very reliable for use in combat field environment.
SHELF LIFE :
The shelf life of the charge is 30 years.
