The charge is designed to meet the requirements of a device that can be used by a minimum of personnel in the shortest possible time to demolish steel bridges. The charge is most effectively used in this role in the form of a necklace fitted round every member of the bridge at about every third span.
The charge is not designed for use under water and only poor results would be obtained. Its performance is, however, unaffected after storage under water for any reasonable period. This ammunition is manufactured for Government of India, Ministry of Defence Specification No. IA-965 and Drawing No. TX 16 GF.

The charge is most effectively used to demolish steel bridges in the shortest possible time with minimum number of personnel.
QUALITY :
The raw materials used for components are tested by Independent Quality Assurance Wing. During manufacturing stages, quality surveillance, both by producer and Army's representatives, are provided. The filled charges are tested statically for (a) Functioning and (b) Penetration (every 10th lot).
SAFETY :
The charges are fairly insensitive to shock and friction during normal rough handling whilst transported and trans-shipped.
RELIABILITY :
Due to its sound design and careful manufacture, the charges can be used under any condition.
SHELF LIFE :
The shelf life of this ammunition is 30 years.
