Bomb 51 mm Red/Green belongs to the family of signaling ammunition, extensively used for communication, locating position etc.
Bomb is fired from 51 mm Mortar. The bomb is provided with unique features of multiple delay systems enabling to achieve variable ranges from 300 to 900 mtrs. The star supported by parachute is deployed in the air and gives bright Red/Green colour.
Multiple delay with a time setting of 3,5 secs. 6 secs, 9.5 secs and 11.5 sec which will give ranges varying from 300 to 900 mtrs. Easy identification at night. Can be fired in any terrain including desert and snow bound area. Handy to carry.
Quality Assurance system on the product is based in accordance with ISO standard ISO-9001, IS-2500/BS-6000 and related specn. JSS/BIS/IND/(ME) and store specn./Drawing.
The ammunition is safe in all respects during handling, storage and transportation.
Ammunition has recorded high degree of reliability.
Packing consists of inner and outer packages. Inner package is HDP/LDPE container. 6 such containers are packed in canvas bag with shoulder strap. 4 canvas bags are then packed in wooden/steel box. Gross weight of each box containing 24 bombs is 46 kg.
