CARTRIDGE SA .380" BALL REVOLVER

GENERAL :
These cartridges are of rimmed type and fired through .380" Rev. This round consists of a cartridge case, percussion cap, propellant charge and bullet. The case is of solid drawn brass. At the base of the case, is a cap chamber, with an anvil and two fire holes. The percussion cap is of brass and contains Czech type (non-fulminate base) mixture. The cap is secured in the cap chamber and the annulus of the cap is lacquered with purple varnish which ensures water proofing and identification of ball cartg. The bullet consists of lead antimony core in a cupronickel or gilding metal envelope and has a slight concave depression in the base to prevent the lead core from extruding and making the base faulty.

QUALITY :
Various strict quality checks are adopted during manufacture. All the components are proved and inspected separately in empty stages before they are taken for filling/assembly. Functional proof is carried out in association with Services Quality Assurance Organisation.
 
SHELF LIFE :

The shelf life of the Ammunition is 15 years.
 
PACKING :
12 cartgs are packed in one Carton NO. 1 C and 70 such Cartons are packed in Box H-74 Mk- 1 and 4 such boxes are packed in one steel Box B 184 MK-1.
